Over the last weeks Mt. Etna has been really active. Big explosions, ash falls, lava fountains, all the repertoire of the biggest volcano in Europe. Today morning, heading out with my trusty X100s, the show was on again. So I headed to one of my favorite spot, near Pedara, and took these photos (click to see them larger).
If you compare this activity to this, took back in 2011 you’ll notice a lot of difference:
