It’s been quite some time since I last wrote on this blog. There was a period, nearly twenty years ago, when updating this space was almost a regular habit. Back in what we fondly remember as the “blog era” around 2005, posting and writing here was an ongoing conversation—a space to share thoughts, images, and observations as they arose, captured in real time.
Life moves forward, though, often faster than we realize, and I gradually found myself posting less frequently. Yet, the act of photographing never lost its place in my life, even if it became more sporadic. Recently, on my birthday, I had the opportunity to pick up my camera again and capture a few images. It was a joy to return to this familiar, tactile process—an opportunity to reconnect with a medium that has been a constant companion for so many years.
Photography is, in many ways, like an old friend. It’s always there, ready to transform a moment into something lasting, offering a boundary between the present and what lies ahead. Stepping back into the creative process felt like a rediscovery, reminding me of the excitement and curiosity that once fueled this blog in its early days. There’s a certain clarity in reconnecting with these creative habits, and I’m reminded of how valuable it is to carve out time for such moments.
I hope to share more often again, not simply for the sake of posting, but to capture and preserve the moments and reflections that arise. Here’s to revisiting old paths and finding new stories to tell along the way.
