Frammenti di Sicilia raccoglie tre serie di fotografie realizzate nella parte Sud della Sicilia dal 2005 al 2008.
Aspetti diversi di una terra piena di fascino che l’Autore osserva tra Aria, Terra e Acqua.
La prima racconta del singolare rapporto tra uomo e Natura in una simbiosi per certi versi contraddittoria. Il calore della raffineria attira d’inverno gli storni e le ciminiere, da inquinanti, diventano improvvisamente rifugio, “aggredite” da una moltitudine di Vite in una danza dai colori pastello.
Dall’aria alla terraferma, in un Sud popolato principalmente da uomini. Altre Vite, gesti, espressioni, un segno del passare del tempo e dell’età della nostra gente, in un mondo antico eppure, ancora per poco, attuale.
Al confine della terra, al “Sud del Sud”, l’unica Vita rimane il Mare e, probabilmente, quella delle creature fantastiche che il punto di vista del fotografo crea nella nostra immaginazione.

The first project in the book focuses on the contradictory relationship between man and Nature. Refinery warmth is the attraction for millions of birds and industrial chemnays, symbol of chemical waste, become suddenly a refugee. Other lives, gestures, expressions in the second project, where men are the main subject in an ancient world, still alive. A the boundaries of the Earth, at the “South of the South” the only life remains the sea and the ones of the fantastic creatures created by the photographer point of view.
