Viviano in un tempo di cambiamenti accelerati, scrivo nella mia “metafora dei confini”. Certamente, a Cuba pochi cambiamenti sono avvenuti negli ultimi decenni. Quindi come “transita” Cuba? Cosa cambierà nel prossimo futuro? Una degli aspetti sorprendenti, quando si arriva da un paese occidentale, è la quasi totale assenza di pubblicità stradali. Normale per un paese comunista, dove la concorrenza non …
This is the selection of OCOLOY photographs for October and November 2015.
August and September selection of OCOLOY.
After the first year of OCOLOY, culminated with two exhibitions and some Internet traction, I decided to put my small Ricoh GR aside and get out with a single roll of 12 photographs (Fuji Pro 160C) and my 20 years old big gun: the Rollei 6003 professional. And, I should say, this is challenging: attempts of street photography with such …
I was in Paris just before the tragic happenings of November 13th 2015. As usual a city full of life, of joy, and this is what this city is going to be forever, and nothing will ever change it. #ParisIsAboutLife.
My 8 OCOLOY photographs for June, with a touch of heat, are now online.
Back in track with my GR. Here’s OCOLOY for May 2015.
My Ocoloy for April has been partially tampered by my broken(!) Ricoh. Yes, it stopped working so I had to send it back for fixing. Hence, in April, I really missed it. Fewer shots in this month, some of them taken with Sony A7r+35mm. Indeed, it was fun for a number of reasons. I love shooting at night and hence …
After January and February here is the OCOLOY for March. I’m shooting 70 pics per week and select, printing, 8 of them per month. I’m using just a small Ricoh GR (28mm f/2.8) and process the photographs to polaroid look&feel.
With some delay over the schedule here the photographs belonging to OCOLOY, taken in February 2015. January photographs are visible here. I’m shooting 70 pics per week and select, printing, 8 of them per month. I’m using just a small Ricoh GR (28mm f/2.8) and process the photographs to polaroid look&feel.
Photography must be fun. So together with the “big”, long term projects, that somehow drain energy, I’m enjoying a One Camera, One Lens, One Year Project. For 2015, I’m shooting 70 pics per week and select, printing, 8 of them per month. I’m using just a small Ricoh GR (28mm f/2.8) and process the photographs to polaroid look&feel. You can …
Second short story published on Storehouse. No secrets: I love bikes, and, more than all, vintage bikes. And I am not alone… With some friends we use 40 years old bikes to explore, slowly, Sicily. Discovering vintage all around… Some of the photos of these trips are together in the Storehouse story you can find here.
I’ve started using Storehouse to publish some short photo essays. I find it a great way to build short stories. It works (very well) on the iPAD, the user interface is very simple and clean. You select your photos (also from online repositories, such as flickr), add some text and publish. The first work I’ve published is D.D.Resden that can be …
I started shooting old people along the streets of Sicily many years ago, around 2006. After 8 years here I am, again, adding some new photographs to my A Men’s World. Not much changed, in fact. Still the same faces, some of the “younger” people now grown older in the context of my favorite “old men’s” square in Sicily.
Last March I spent 10 days in Florida after the opening of a show in Miami. Together with my friend Leonardo we rented a couple of big, fat Harley Davidson and we went from Miami to Daytona Beach (it was bike week!), then to Clearwater, Tampa, Sarasota, Venice, Naples all the way down to the Everglades and to Key West.
